About Green Threads

Brooklyn Children’s Museum’s Green Threads initiative is designed to teach children and their caregivers about sustainability. The project uses the Museum’s LEED-certified building as a teaching tool to demonstrate current sustainable practices and inspire children to make green choices in their own lives.

Green Threads includes hands-on exhibits, public and school programs, an educator’s guide, professional development for teachers and Museum staff, a sustainability blog, a family guide to Brooklyn, and this website.
